A success story written through know-how, experience, and creativity in airport operations.
TAV Airports Holding, founded in Istanbul in 1997 as a joint venture of the Tepe and Akfen Groups, completed construction of the Istanbul Atatürk Airport International Terminal in the short span of two years. TAV's 10-year story began with the launch of the new International Terminal in 2000. Revealing the modern face of Turkey, the project was the first concrete step in TAV's success story.
Evolving into an unprecedented success within a relatively short period of time through the deployment of know-how, highly qualified human resources and advanced technology, TAV is now a global brand, both in airport construction and airport operations projects.
In accordance with its corporate targets, TAV underwent restructuring in 2006, organizing its activities as operations and construction under TAV Airports Holding (TAV Airports) and TAV Construction respectively. In a continuing effort to increase its achievements and represent Turkey in the best manner possible, TAV Airports went public in 2007 after this re-organization.
Today, handling approximately 420 thousand flights and 48 million passengers from 300 airline companies annually through its many subsidiaries, TAV Airports is further strengthening its market position in Turkey, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa with decisive steps and successful projects.
Operating the Istanbul Atatürk and Ankara Esenboga Domestic and International Terminals, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal and Antalya Gazipasa International Airport in Turkey, TAV Airports is also in charge of overseas airport operations at the Tbilisi and Batumi Airports in Georgia, Monastir and Enfidha Airports in Tunisia and Skopje and Ohrid Airports in Macedonia.
A broad array of service companies are gathered under the umbrella of TAV Airports, a reflection of its integrated service concept. TAV Airports manages the long-established company Havas and affiliate companies TGS and North Hub Services. TAV Airports also carries out duty free operations through ATÜ, food & beverage services through BTA Catering and collects non-aviation revenues under TAV Operations Services, also managing information technologies through TAV IT and rendering private security services through TAV Private Security. Additionally, TAV Airports has taken over the operations of duty free, food & beverage and other commercial areas at Riga Airport in Latvia for a period of 10 years as of January 1, 2011.
As Turkey’s leading airport operator, TAV Airports Holding continues to undertake projects for and about people in line with its uncompromising goals and principles, employing more than 18 thousand people on three continents.
In airport operations the pace is frenetic 24 hours a day. Armed with this awareness, TAV Airports Holding serves its customers with experienced and cheerful staff at every point; from the parking lot to security screening, from check-in to cafes, from its duty free shops to the boarding gates.
Striving to provide exceptional service within an integrated structure at airports visited by thousands of people every day--while growing from a local into a global company--TAV Airports has set a goal of serving 100 million passengers within the next ten years.
