-At the beginning of the spring we make new surprises for our passengers. With the introduction of 3 new routes from Skopje International Airport to Berlin, Copenhagen and Bratislava – to 3 capital cities in 3 states, the number of capital cities that Skopje has an air connection in Europe, has increased from 11 to 14. All 3 lines will be welcomed from our diaspora, Macedonia citizens, tourists as well as the businessmen. For the first time from Skopje can be flied to Slovakia, that will be an extraordinary opportunity for introduction with the beauties of Bratislava. For us Macedonians, this route also has special cultural meaning, having on mind the history fact that the educational mission of the brothers Kiril and Metodij has been realized in Moravia. Copenhagen will be another connection of Macedonia to the Scandinavian countries, and an opportunity for Danish that are known as travelers and who are already visiting Ohrid to come in Macedonia throughout the whole year. Berlin is the 9th destination in Germany, which is interesting from touristic and business aspect as well. TAV Macedonia will continue to work with devotion on introduction of new services and benefits for the passengers in the terminal building, through are partner companies BTA- in charge of food and beverages, ATU – that manages the duty free areas, TAV IT- that manages information technologies and TAV OS – that manages with operational services, stated Zoran Krstevski, TAV Macedonia General Manager.

Wizzair, within the summer flight schedule at Skopje Airport that starts as of today, will fly to three new destinations two times a week on each. On the route Skopje-Berlin’ the carrier will fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, on the route Skopje-Bratislava on Mondays and Fridays, and on the route Skopje-Copenhagen on Wednesdays and Sundays.

-Macedonia continues to meet our expectations for passenger growth and we are responding with more destinations and low fares. Macedonia not only boasts a rich history but incredible natural beauty as well, particularly around Lake Ohrid. In Skopje, the Old Bazaar, Stone Bridge and Kale Fortress bring tourists from Europe, many on WIZZ flights, who quickly fall in love with this country. We are very proud to have a hand in strengthening the economy and multiplying opportunities for the country, said David Morgan, Wizz Air’s Chief Flying Operations Officer.
