TAV Macedonia is introducing new rules for the use of the “Hug & Fly” zone

FROM SEPTEMBER 1: The rules for free use of the short-stop zone at Skopje International Airport – Hug & Fly are changing

From September 1, 2026, TAV Macedonia is introducing new rules for the use of the “Hug & Fly” zone, i.e. the street located in front of the terminal building of Skopje International Airport, where passengers are sent off or picked up from a trip.

The street in front of the terminal building, i.e. the “Hug & Fly” zone, will continue to be available for free short stops for a period of 10 minutes for the purpose of dropping off and picking up passengers, with the new parking rules stating that each vehicle will have the opportunity to enter, transit and park for free for 10 minutes only once during 24 hours.

The goal is an unobstructed flow of vehicles as well as safe and simple access for passengers to the terminal.

Automatic license plate recognition will enable efficient access management and smooth traffic flow, especially during periods with increased passenger frequency.

The change is aimed at maintaining a smooth flow of vehicles to the airport and ensuring safe conditions for passengers, visitors and drivers when accessing the terminal.

For those who need a longer stay, the large parking lot at Skopje Airport, located in front of the terminal building and offering 1200 parking spaces for cars and 6 parking spaces for buses, remains available at all times.

TAV Macedonia's priority is to ensure that access to the terminal is safe, efficient and simple, in order to provide a comfortable experience for all passengers and visitors.
