ACI Awards ceremony held in Atlanta USA: Skopje Airport received the 2023 ASQ Award
At a gala ceremony, yesterday, September 25th, in Atlanta, USA, at ACI World’s Customer Experience Summit and Exhibition, winners of the renowned Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, including the Skopje International Airport, were revealed and ASQ Awards plaques were presented to the winning airports.
Skopje Airport is among the 4 TAV Airports together with Izmir, Bodrum and Zagreb airports, that won an ASQ award for 2023 in different categories.The airport in the capital city of North Macedonia is proud to receive the ASQ award for 2023 as the Best Airport by Size (2-5 million passengers per year) and Region (Europe).

This is the 9th time Skopje Airport has received this award, after the ASQ Awards for Skopje Airport received for 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2015, 2013, and 2012.
Skopje Airport belongs to an ASQ panel of 10 airports, in the category of airports sized for 2-5 million passengers per year based in Europe.
The ASQ program is the world’s leading airport customer experience measurement and benchmarking program. Compared to other programs in the aviation industry, it is based on live research via surveys gathered at the airport—direct from the traveler—rating their satisfaction on the day of travel.
TAV Macedonia, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, and a member of Groupe ADP, finished the period between January – August 2024 with a total of 2.128.981 passengers at both Macedonian airports – Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport. This is a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2023, while compared to 2019 (1.782.208), considered a referent year in aviation, the air traffic figures note 20% more passengers. In terms of the number of flights, there were 17.196 flights for the 8 months of 2024, or 12% more flights than in 2023, i.e., 17% more compared to 2019 (14.744).
