SKOPJE AIRPORT SELECTED AS EUROPE'S TOP QUALITY AIRPORT

Skopje Airport selected as Europe's top quality airport in its category once more

Operated by TAV Airports, Skopje International Airport continues to be the leader by preserving the title of "the best quality service in Europe" which was selected by ACI last year in the category of up to 2 million passengers per year

Operated by TAV Airports, one of the world’s leading airport operators, Skopje International Airport is selected by Airports Council International (ACI), the global platform of airport operators, as the “Best Airport in Europe” in the category of airports under 2 million passengers per year according to 2013 data. Having received the same title last year according to the 2012 data, Skopje International Airport has crowned the leadership by its fast development and continuously improving service quality.

Following the announcement of ACI regarding the winners of these awards in line with the passenger satisfaction surveys it carries out throughout the year at airports, TAV Macedonia General Manager Zoran Krstevski and TAV Macedonia Deputy General Managers, Alper Tunga Ersoy and Metin Batak, attended the press conference held Wednesday in Skopje, where the company’s annual report was presented as well.

TAV Macedonia General Manager Zoran Krstevski stated "This prestigious award by ACI, the roof organization of airport operators, received once again this year by Skopje International Airport, of which TAV transferred its know-how and experience completely to sustain the highest level of service quality, is an indication of our perfectionist approach regarding service quality. In this sense, we are happy to receive 'Europe's top quality airport' award, determined in line with the passenger satisfaction surveys, for the second time and sustain our consistent success on passenger satisfaction. Operating 13 airports in different regions, TAV Airports is a brand representing our country in the global platform. Within this context, we will continue to provide the best service to our passengers 24/7 by paying the utmost attention to service quality and passenger satisfaction."

In her written statement, ACI World Director General Angela Gittens said “As airports face the increasingly competitive and demanding aviation market, it is crucial to keep a focus on meeting and exceeding passenger expectations. Airport managers need factual intelligence to guide their efforts and optimize their investments. The ASQ Survey is a tool that provides data that enables airports to identify what their passengers value most and what the airport community needs to do to achieve excellence in customer service. The results over time demonstrate that airports are paying close attention to the feedback from their passengers and undertaking corrective action to improve the passenger experience.” Stating that airport community leaders were continuously reviewing and enhancing their services, Gittens added "Airports work diligently to improve their performance by adopting customer focused strategies.”

ACI has been conducting the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Program since 2006 in order to measure the customer satisfaction at member airports. Last year, over 200 airports from 50 countries participated in the program. More than 400,000 traveling passengers were interviewed for the survey in these airports.
