TAV AIRPORTS DONATED 160 MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS TO THE RED CROSS’S SHELTER CENTER MOMIN POTOK
Recognizing World Homelessness Day on October 10th, TAV Macedonia donated cooked meals to the Homeless Shelter Center – Momin Potok, which operates within the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia – Red Cross of the City of Skopje
TAV Macedonia, a TAV Airports subsidiary, today, donated freshly prepared, cooked meals to the Homeless Shelter Center – Momin Potok, operated by the Red Cross of the City of Skopje. This act of compassion aims to support individuals experiencing homelessness by providing them with a warm, nutritious meal, fostering a sense of dignity and care on this global day of homelessness awareness.
Skopje International Airport staff-volunteers helped BTA, TAV Macedonia's sister company responsible for food and beverages at Skopje International Airport, for the preparation and packaging of 160 cooked meals.
In BTA’s kitchen, Skopje Airport employees-volunteers, together with TAV Macedonia General Manager, Nejat Kurt, and TAV Macedonia Deputy General Manager, Pero Lupevski, helped BTA professional cooks and kitchen staff to prepare the balanced, wholesome dishes, that were today delivered to the homeless center, and distributed to the users of the center themselves.
The cooked meals donation and cooperation with the Red Cross of the City of Skopje reflect TAV Macedonia’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities and those in need of help, and this time addressing hunger and homelessness.

World Homelessness Day is observed globally to raise awareness about the issue of homelessness and to encourage the need for collective action to address this pressing issue.

We express our gratitude for the donation made through TAV Macedonia, which has shown how significant it is to be socially responsible, serving as an example and encouragement for all individuals and social entities”, stated Suzana Tuneva-Paunovska, secretary of the Red Cross of the City of Skopje.
As she explained, the shelter center is a shelter for people whose life paths have led them to the streets. Through the activities at the shelter—maintaining hygiene, medical examinations and therapy prescriptions, meals, and support from social workers and psychologists, certainly backed and supported by individuals and companies—the Red Cross is contributing to their successful reintegration into the community.
This cooperation with the Red Cross of the City of Skopje and the Homeless Shelter Center – Momin Potok and this meal donation reflect TAV Macedonia’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and community involvement, striving to enhance the lives of underserved populations and foster a more just and compassionate society.
