TAV ASSIGNS KRSTEVSKI AS A BOARD MEMBER, ERSOY AS A GENERAL MANAGER

TAV Airports, as of 1st of January 2017, has assigned Zoran Krstevski as a Board member of TAV Macedonia, while Alp Er Tunga Ersoy has been assigned as the new General Manager of the company that operates both Macedonian airports – Skopje Alexander the Great and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle. 

-As distinguished aviation professional, with his long years of managerial experience in different Macedonian aviation institutions, Zoran Krstevski has been assigned as a Board member of TAV Macedonia, where we are assured that with this position he will give his excellent contribution for TAV Airports’ new projects and ventures in the wider region.  At the same time, Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, is assigned as the new General Manager of TAV Macedonia, with expectations to lead the company into its further success, developing the Macedonian airports, as TAV Macedonia managerial team has been doing in the past 7 years, announced TAV Airports from Istanbul.

The holding expressed its gratitude to the managers for the achieved success so far and wishes them further success in the new assignments.  

-I’d like to thank to TAV Airports for the trust they have given me since their entrance on the Macedonian market, as a general manager to lead the company that in the last 6 years has managed to develop Macedonian airports tripling the number of routes from our man hub - Skopje Airport, and increasing the passenger number for more than double since 2010. From the close cooperation we had in the past years, I’m convinced that my colleague Ersoy will further develop the business in Macedonia, contributing to the general air traffic development, using TAV Airports valued know-how in aviation operations, stated Zoran Krstevski, Board member of TAV Macedonia.          

Alp Er Tunga Ersoy was TAV Macedonia Deputy General Manager since the entrance of TAV Airports on the Macedonian market and has more than 17 years of experience in aviation, working for TAV Airports since 1999. He was terminal Duty Officer and then terminal Duty Manager at Istanbul Ataturk Airport until September 2005; then he joined TAV Airports’ international project in Georgia, serving as the Airport Manager and then the Deputy General Manager at Tbilisi International Airport until 2008. Since September 2008 until now, he was the Deputy General Manager of TAV Macedonia.

I’d like to thank to TAV Airports for the new position as the General Manager of TAV Macedonia and to Zoran Krstevski for his valued managerial contribution for the development of Macedonian airports we have achieved together until now. We have cooperated very closely and we will continue to work very closely in the future, having on mind his new position and our vision to see Macedonian airports as the main air traffic centers in the region, offering diverse services, attractive not just for the Macedonian citizens but for the travelers from the neighboring countries as well, stated Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, TAV Macedonia General Manager.     

TAV Macedonia finished the 11 months of 2016 with 16% increase in the passenger’s traffic number, reaching 1.661.010 passengers. In the same time period, January-November 2016, the number of flights has been increased by 10% on an annual level.

In 2016, for the 3th time in the last 5 years, Skopje Airport has received the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) award from ACI (Airports Council International) – being named as the Best Airport in Europe in terms of airport service quality, in the category of airports under 2 million passengers. As an award that is a result of independent ACI surveys made on the airports all around the world, measuring passenger’s satisfaction in different categories, this recognition from ACI is a very important proof that within the last 7 years TAV Macedonia has succeeded to improve the services offered in the terminal building.

There is regular shuttle bus to/from Skopje International Airport for passengers that drives and stops at key bus stops throughout the City of Skopje and arrives at the airport. V2V Transporter manages and operates the shuttle buses for passengers. The shuttle bus timetable is prepared according to the arrivals/departures of flights at Skopje International Airport. Skopje International Airport operates 24/7. Restaurants and cafes such as Cakes & Bakes, Café In, Burger King and NeedStop are available for the passengers at any time; business lounge (PrimeClass CIP Service) offers you comfort 24/7, while ATU Duty Free is opened as per the flights timetable and offers wide range of products.  

Check-in at the passenger and baggage check-in counters starts 120 minutes (2 hours) before the scheduled time of departure (STD) specified on your flight ticket. The closing time of the airport check-in counter is no later than 40 minutes before STD stated on your flight ticket.

Passengers are allowed to carry on board free of charge items such as coat, 1 umbrella or walking stick, 1 ladies handbag, 1 camera or binoculars, 1 baby transporter, 1 pair of crutches or similar prosthetic aids, medical equipment on which the passenger is fully dependent, a reasonable quantity of baby food.

Regarding the baggage fees amount, please contact your airline, because each airline has its own baggage policy and applicable rules.

In case of lost or damaged baggage, please immediately go to the Lost & Found Department, which is located near the baggage claim area, i.e. in the Arrivals Area after Passport Control and before Customs Control.

Yes. Since 2015 TAV Macedonia has introduced free Wi-Fi internet at Skopje International Airport, which was upgraded in 2019. Passengers can access free internet through their mobile devices by simply connecting to a wireless network called TAV Airports, password is not required.

You can park your vehicle in our parking lot without prior reservation. This service is available 24/7 at Skopje International Airport.

Yes. At Skopje International Airport there are specially designated, marked parking lots for persons with disabilities and the car park services are free of charge within 24 hours. By enclosing the traffic license and the disability identification card at the Car Park Payment Counter, located inside the terminal building, our employees will cancel the car park ticket and the person with disability will be automatically exempt from paying for the car park service. If all designated parking lots for persons with disabilities are occupied, park your car on a regular parking lot, and following the above stated procedure you will be exempted from paying for the car park services.

Yes. At Skopje International Airport there is a Special Assistance Service for passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs). The counter where you can ask for this free of charge service is located inside the Terminal building, next to the Information Desk. Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRM) means any person whose mobility is reduced due to physical incapacity (sensor or locomotor), intellectual deficiency, age, illness, or other cause of disability.

Yes. There is a smoking room at Skopje International Airport, which is located in the security-restricted area, airside. The smoking room is located next to Gate number 201, i.e., on the left side after you pass passport control and security screening.
In addition to the smoking room, passengers can use the open terraces of the cafeterias located at the entrance to the terminal building of the airport.
Smoking is prohibited in all other areas of the terminal building.
