TAV: NEW ATU DUTY-FREE SHOP OPENED AT SKOPJE AIRPORT
A new, refurbished, duty-free store operated by ATU Duty Free which is in partnership of TAV Airports, one of the global leaders in airport operations and Gebr.Heinemann/Unifree, two of the most experienced companies in duty-free business, was opened today, 23rd December, at Skopje International Airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a surprise award that was given to the first passenger who entered the shop.
ATU’s CEO, Ersan Arcan, Murat Demirag, ATU Operations Manager in North Macedonia, TAV Macedonia General Manager, Metin Batak and Blagoj Bochvarski, Minister of Transport and Communications, cut the ribbon on today’s ceremony and officially marked the opening of the new ATU Duty Free store at Skopje International Airport.
Right after the opening ceremony, ATU representatives welcomed the first passenger that entered the shop with a nice gift from their diversified assortment of products. The passenger was pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

We have gathered here today to inaugurate our main duty free store, where we have completed the expansion project with an investment of nearly half a million Euros for the increasing number of passengers, the demand in duty-free shops and our expanding operation in line with the future projection we have built for North Macedonia. Our new main duty-free store at Skopje Airport will continue to offer passengers a unique shopping experience with a wide range of products, including local products, along with world-renowned elite brands in 326 square meters area.’’ – stated Ersan Arcan, ATU Duty Free CEO.
The brand-new ATU Duty Free shop is in the heart of the departure area of the airport. Travelers are now invited to discover and experience a completely new shopping experience at Skopje International Airport in ATU’s brand new store in a 326m2 area.

Besides the already established and well-known many brands and products categories offered by ATU, travelers can now shop from a wide range of enriched product categories and brands portfolio, including the newly introduced and showcased brands and products, such as Armani and Prada sunglasses, Buckley accessories, Fossil and Tommy Hilfiger watches, Travel Blue accessories, Cartier, Narciso Rodriquez, and Tom Ford fragrances, and Tikiri toys.
In addition to the new revamped 326m2 duty-free store, ATU Duty Free also operates other commercial areas at both Macedonian airports, i.e., a 32m2 Macedonian wines store at Skopje airport where travelers can choose from the variety of local products and at the same time feel the Macedonian culture blended in the regional wines selections and food offered, as well as a 50m2 duty-free store at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport.
