AT SKOPJE AIRPORT: TAV ORGANIZED A CELEBRATION FOR THE FIRST PASSENGERS ON THE FLIGHT SKOPJE-LJUBLJANA BY WIZZ AIR

Last night, 27th September, Wednesday, with a cocktail, and small gifts for the departing passengers on the first flight, TAV marked the launch of the regular route from Skopje to Ljubljana by Wizz Air

With a surprise cocktail and small gifts for the departing passengers on the inaugural flight, TAV last night at Skopje International Airport marked the launch of the new regular route Skopje-Ljubljana, by Wizz Air.

“TAV celebrates an excellent occasion as we mark the launch of Wizz Air’s new flight on the route Skopje-Ljubljana-Skopje. There was a big demand for this air connection, as there are many business passengers, university students and Macedonian emigration that travel frequently between the two cities and for about 4 years, since 2019, there was no direct air connection between Skopje and Ljubljana. We are happy that Wizz Air recognized this demand and we believe that their services will meet the needs of our passengers. The introduction of this new route will also serve the leisure travelers and strengthen our bonds with Slovenia. Ljubljana, with its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere, has been a highly anticipated destination for travelers from Skopje. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to WIZZ for their decision to add this route from their Skopje base thus enhancing regional connectivity. We look forward to welcoming passengers at Skopje Airport and delivering impeccable airport services in our passengers’ journey to create lasting memories.” – stated Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.

With this new route, travelers from Skopje now have access to Slovenia's charming capital city, Ljubljana. Known for its picturesque old town, rich history, and vibrant cultural scene, Ljubljana has quickly become a must-visit destination in Europe.

We are delighted to further expand from Skopje with a new connection to Ljubljana. We are proud to be a market leader in North Macedonia with a vast network of 34 routes to 15 countries, offering over 1.1 million seats on sale for winter 2023, twice as much as last year. Focused on continuous growth, we stay committed to providing our passengers with unparalleled connectivity and travel experiences. I would like to thank our colleagues from Skopje International Airport for their great partnership in building better connectivity for North Macedonia, and I am very happy to welcome first passengers from Skopje to Ljubljana on WIZZ flights.” – commented Tamara Nikiforova, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air Group.

The first flight to Ljubljana departed from Skopje Airport yesterday, Wednesday, 27th September.

Wizz Air will operate its Skopje – Ljubljana – Skopje route twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday, offering passengers a convenient schedule that suits both business and leisure travelers. Wednesday flight departure time from Skopje International Airport is 18:40, and arrival time to Ljubljana at 20:20h, while the take-off from Ljubljana is at 20:55h and landing at Skopje Airport is 22:30h.
